The month of December was filled with fun and preparation for the holidays. We spent time learning holiday songs and worked on Christmas gifts for our family. We talked a lot about the holiday season and what it means to give. We learned about Christmas and Hanukkah.

We also had a lot of fun working on holiday themed art work. We painted candy canes, made stockings, decorated Christmas trees, and put together our own paper menorah’s. We also made ornaments to decorate our classroom tree.

We really enjoyed looking for our Elf on the Shelf named “Elfy Delfy” everyday. He was a lot of fun! We read a story about the Elf tradition and had a blast discovering his hiding place everyday.

This month we’ll explore the winter season, the changing weather, and artic animals that live in a different climate.
