JANUARY 2022 NEWSLETTER

The entire staff would like to extend their heartfelt thanks for all the gifts and goodies given to us this past holiday season. We hope your family had a wonderful holiday. We wish you health and happiness in 2022!

The month of December was a joyful month indeed! We read books about Hanukkah and played the dreidel game.

We read books about Christmas and learned some new Christmas songs. The Redwoods enjoyed sharing their families holiday traditions during circle time.

An Elf On The Shelf came to visit our class and after careful consideration and some good old fashioned voting, we named our elf Kit-Kat! Kit-Kat found some cheeky hiding places throughout the month and kept a watchful eye to be sure we were behaving.

We baked cookies, drank hot chocolate and wore our pajamas to school to top off the year.

This month we will learn about Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. In honor of his birthday we will be discussing who he was as well as his dream to unite people in a peaceful way. We will explore what our dreams are as well. We will also discuss the changing winter weather.
