EASTER PARTY AND EGG HUNT
Our Easter party and egg hunt will be Friday 4/15. If your child does not come to school on Fridays they’re invited to join us but must be picked up by 11:00am. Items will need to be at school BEFORE the day of our party.

SPRING PHOTOS
Kathleen Ahern photography will be here next month on Wednesday 5/4 and Thursday 5/5 to take school photos. Kathleen and her staff are fully vaccinated against Covid-19 and will wear masks while present. Photo order forms will be sent home the week prior to our picture days and must be returned by the date indicated on the envelope.

GRADUATION PHOTOS
In addition to Spring Photos, the Pre-K will ALSO take GRADUATION PHOTOS and will be posed wearing a cap and gown. NO ponies/pigtails on long hair so the graduation cap fits properly. Graduation photos will be available for viewing and purchase at a later date.

KINDERGARTEN DIRECTORY
Kindergarten is just around the corner! If you’d like to network with other parents and find out who’s going where, be sure to fill out the Kindergarten info. sheet on the sign in/out board. We’ll compile a directory for the Pre-K parents and have it available in May. Knowing who’s going to your child’s school is helpful with the transition to kindergarten. Only those participating in the directory will receive a copy.

CONFERENCING
Spring conferencing will begin the first week of May. Our conference calendars can be found on the sign in/out board this month. Please sign up on our calendar if you would like to meet with your child’s teacher.

GRADUATION

We will be recording the ceremony to share with those that are unable to tune in live.

The Redwoods

Last month we practiced building fun traps to try and catch the Leprechaun on St. Patrick’s day. We had a lot of fun building with different materials like blocks, playdough and the magnet tiles.

We’ve been doing quite a bit of painting with a variety of different tools like cars, golf balls, and our all time favorites, finger painting and salad spinner painting.

We have also been practicing spelling and writing our names and playing games which help us to develop strong listening skills.

This year many of us have taken interest in matching games and building puzzles. We have been playing matching games and working together to build big floor puzzles. Building with the ramps and balls has also been a popular activity that we have enjoyed working on as a group.

We had a lot of fun on Royal Day showing off our fancy costumes and having a fun Royal Dance Party.

This month we’ll take some time to observe the change in the weather, as well as the scenery as all the beautiful flora and fauna begin to grow again. We’ll be paying special attention to our new garden that the Redwoods planted in the backyard. We are excited to water and care for our growing vegetables.
