LAST MONTH…

We had a busy month of April. We played a variety of different games that involved visually recognizing the letters and numbers. We’ve been practicing to spell and air trace the letters in our first names.

We enjoyed getting ready for Easter! We learned new songs, cut out our own Easter eggs and decorated them. Our Easter party was great fun! We played games, went on an Easter egg hunt and ate yummy party treats.

We enjoyed showing off our hairdo’s on crazy hair day.

We’ve been spending time in the mornings coming together and beginning our day with meditation. We’ve been discussing feelings that make us feel uncomfortable; anger, sadness, loneliness, frustration. During our daily morning meditation we quietly reflect in ourselves things that may have occurred earlier in the morning that have left us feeling this way. We have begun blowing these negative thoughts into our imaginary bubbles and watching them float out the door of our classroom.

We’ve been discussing the importance of rain, spent time brainstorming all of the benefits of this magical liquid.

This month we’ll spend time making a special present for our moms and continue practicing our special songs for graduation.
